Emigration. Notes on a Human" is the debut work of illustrator Greta Samuel. The book originated as her doctoral dissertation and was defended with distinction in 2024 at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology in Warsaw.
It's a social comic addressing the topic of migration. In a graphic narrative format, Greta Samuel presents several true stories told to her by migrants living in Poland. The main section features the experiences of individuals who emigrated to Poland, for both political and personal reasons, as well as those who supported them at various stages of their journey. In the second part of the book, the author explores her own migratory experience.
