Project Title: emigracJA, Notatki o człowieku (Emigration: Notes on a Human)
This graphic monograph constitutes the core of the author’s doctoral research, which was defended with distinction at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology (PJATK) in Warsaw (December 2024).
As a socially engaged graphic narrative, this work bridges academic inquiry and practice-based research to explore the multifaceted experience of migration. Through a rigorous process of narrative collection, the project synthesizes the testimonies of individuals who emigrated to Poland for diverse political and personal reasons, juxtaposing their accounts with the author’s own migratory experiences. The result is a documentary-style graphic monograph that provides a critical reflection on contemporary displacement, identity, and the ethics of storytelling.
